Charles Ross (born 1965) is a British Composer living and working in the East of Iceland. He received his musical training at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama and Dartington college of Arts (teacher Frank Denyer) where he has recently completed an M.Phil research degree on the relationship between music and non-linearity.

As a composer Charles has written for often quirky combinations of western and non-western instruments and sites a lack of musical direction as a major compositional impetus. He has had works performed in the Spittalfields music festival in London and has written for the "Barton Workshop" Ensemble. In Iceland he has had works performed in the "Myrkir Músík Dagar" festival most notably by his own band, "Stelkur". Charles also teaches a yearly course in World music at LHI.
